" It gives me such pleasure to arrive home after Jane has been working in our small garden. We very much appreciate Jane's reliability and professionalism, her amazing knowledge and 'green thumbs' and her artistic ability to transform an ordinary space into an area that is fragrant. alive and beautiful"
The entry and courtyard were designed by the architect as part of the house. The main living areas and bedroom open on to the courtyard. It is maintained and seasonally replanted with flowering plants and cooking herbs. Flowering plants are chosen to be picked and bought inside the house. Annual plants are allowed to seed before being removed and the garden is allowed to reflect organic processes within the confines of an artificial, manicured environment. The planting beds are shallow and larger plants such as a Bay and Lime trees are planted in large pots.
