"Jane has created some
absolutely beautiful garden spaces for our newly renovated home. The front
garden she designed to complement the existing gorgeous magnolia tree, whilst
the back garden is a lovely mix of natives amongst the herbs, passionfruit vine
and lemon tree. The back garden works in wonderfully well with the modern
extension. However what I really love most is the garden vista that Jane has
created from each room. Even though the house has only narrow space at each
side she has managed to create lovely garden outlooks from every window with a
creative use of climbers and other plants. Thank you Jane - our garden makes our home so beautiful!"
The old Magnolia is the central feature of the front garden of this Brunswick home. It is the highlight of the entire street. The garden also contains roses about 50 -60 years old. The garden was planted with a mix of plants chosen to provide for flower colour throughout the year, in shades harmonising with the Magnolia. The flowering plants create a soft, informal look that is contained within a formal structure to allow for comfortable access to the front and side gates and the seat on a shady groundcover lawn beneath the Magnolia.
The back of the house has a very modern extension.. There was an old Lemon tree that was rejuvenated and underplanted with edible herbs. A huge Lemon scented gum dominated the rear view so native plants were used to create hedges between the deck and a studio in the back of the garden.
